NEWBURYPORT: The following cases were recorded Thursday, May 14, at Newburyport District Court.

Judge Peter Doyle presided over the following jury-waived cases:

Karen M. Martin, 48, 73 Railroad Ave., Apt. 1, Salisbury; driving without a license, found guilty, ordered to pay $300 fine, $50 for the state Victim/Witness Fund (VWF); driving a vehicle that did not meet safety standards, found respionsible, filed (Amesbury).

Skye Duprey, 19, 7 Currier St., Amesbury; driving with a suspended license, continued without finding for six months, sentenced to six months probation, ordered to pay $100 costs, $50 for the VWF (Amesbury).

Megan Cunningham, 18, 141 Low St., Newburyport; assault and battery, dismissed (Newburyport).

Danielle Devin, 28, 30 Central St., Byfield; domestic assault and battery (two counts), continued without finding for three years, sentenced to three years' probation; reckless endangerment of a child, continued without finding for three years, sentenced to three years' probation (concurrent); threatening to commit a crime, found guilty, sentenced to six months in the house of correction, 60 days to be served (deemed served), balanace suspended for three years, ordered to pay $90 for the VWF (Newbury).

Jorge Furtado, 33, 279 Cardinal Medeiros Way, Cambridge; driving while under the influence of alcohol (DUI), found guilty, sentenced to one year in the house of correction (given credit for 98 days served), ordered to pay $250 to the Head Injury Fund (HIF), $50 DUI victim's assessment, $50 for the VWF (State); driving with a suspended license, subsequent offense, found guilty, sentenced to 60 days in the house of correction (concurrent); refusing to identify self, found guilty, filed; license plate violation, found guilty, sentenced to 10 days in the house of correction (concurrent); having an open container of alcohol in a vehicle, found responsible, filed; escape from a municipal lockup, dismissed (State).

Matthew R. Decelle, 25, 250 North End Blvd., Salisbury; assault with a dangerous weapon, dismissed; assault and battery, dismissed; disorderly conduct, dismissed (Salisbury).

James G. O'Neil, 54, 188 Main St., Amesbury; DUI, found guilty, sentenced to two years' probation, ordered to attend Alcohol Safety Awareness Program (ASAP), license suspended for 90 days, ordered to pay $250 DUI fee, $250 to the HIF, $50 DUI victim's assessment, $50 for the VWF; having an open container of alcohol in a vehicle, found responsible, filed (Amesbury).

Frank Janvrin, 67, 70 Railroad Ave., Seabrook; possession of class B controlled substances with intent to distribute, found guilty, sentenced to 18 months in the house of correction, three days to be served (deemed served), balance suspended for two years, two years' probation, ordered to forfeit $518; failure to stop or yield, found responsible, filed; seat belt violation, found not responsible (State).

Judge Doyle presided over the following jury session case:

Lynda Bayko, 25, 556 Lowell St., Peabody; DUI, found not guilty; failure to stop or yield, found responsible, ordered to pay $100 assessment; failure to stay within marked lanes, found responsible, ordered to pay $100 assessment (Salisbury).

Judge Allen Swan presided over the following jury-waived case:

Darrick M. Heywood, 30, 39 Dock Lane, Salisbury; assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, dismissed; assault and battery, found guilty, sentenced to one year's probation, ordered to pay $50 to the VWF (Salisbury); assault and battery, dismissed (Newburyport).
