The signs out front say it all: "Thank you for your patience!"

Oregano Pizzeria and Ristorante, a brick oven pizza place, is set to open at 11:30 a.m. Monday after months of renovation to transform the Pleasant Street location from a furniture store into a restaurant.

The restaurant features a brick oven imported from Italy, a bar that serves beer and wine and a menu that chef and general manager Chester Cappucci said is 70 percent handmade, including dough, meatballs, cannoli, sauce and pasta.

Oregano's menu includes pizza, of course, but also salads, pasta and appetizers. Cappucci said his recipes come from his grandmother and are written in Italian on pieces of yellow paper.

"It is Italian, thin-crust pizza the way it's supposed to be," he said in a previous report.
