SUNDAY
SEABROOK
Leaving from Town Hall at 9 a.m., the parade heads down Walton Road to Washington. It will then cross Route 286 to South Main Street to Rand Memorial Church, where traditional Memorial Day services will take place.
This year's hometown parade features bagpipers from the Ancient Order of Hibernians, the Muchachos Drum and Bugle Corps, and, of course, the Winnacunnet High School Band and the school's ROTC Color Guard, along with a flotilla of floats. Marching in the parade will be Boy and Girl Scout troops, youth sports teams, and local pageant winners, along with town officials, state representatives, Seabrook's firefighters and police officers, and members of the American Legion and Gold Star Mothers.
MONDAY
NEWBURYPORT
Activities begin at CVS on Pond Street at 10:15 a.m. From there, the group will walk to City Hall at 10:45 a.m. The group will walk to the river at approximately 11:40 a.m. to gather at the Boardwalk to honor fallen servicemen of the Coast Guard, Navy and Merchant Marine who have given their lives for the country. Then the group will walk to the Veterans' Cemetery on the corner of Pond Street and Route 1. The event is expected to end at 12:30 p.m.
AMESBURY
Parade will form at the fire station on School Street at 9:30 a.m. and step off at 10 a.m. Marchers proceed on Main Street to Justin Memorial, across from the middle school, for ceremonies. In the event of rain, ceremonies will be in the Amesbury High School cafeteria.
MERRIMAC
A wreath ceremony will be on the Rocks Village Bridge at 8 a.m., followed by a service in Locust Grove Cemetery at 9 a.m.
GEORGETOWN
Ceremonies will be at the Harmony, Union and South Byfield cemeteries at 9 a.m. The Memorial Day Parade will form at 1:30 p.m. at the Georgetown High School parking lot. The parade will kick off at 2 p.m. and march down Winter Street, turn right on East Main Street, left on Central Street and proceed to the Central Fire Station for a dedication to the Firemen. The group will then proceed up Central Street to the Civil War Monument, where there will be a reading of Abraham Lincoln's Gettysburg Address. Upon completion of the Civil War Ceremony, the parade will reform on Central Street and proceed to a right turn onto East Main Street, marching to a final ceremony at the newly refurbished Harry Murch Park. After that, the group will march back to Winter Street and return to the high school parking lot. Refreshments will be served for all participants after the ceremony at the VFW Post on Andover Street.
ROWLEY
The Rowley V.F.W. Post 5707 invites all veterans of the town to participate and attend the planned ceremony and parade observing Memorial Day at 1:30 p.m. Plan to join the parade attendees at 1 p.m. where the organizing efforts begin at the VFW parking lot on Bradford Street. SALISBURY
The Salisbury Memorial Day parade, which begins at 10 a.m. leaves from the fire station, goes down Route 1 to Beach Road, up Ferry to Pleasant to the square. Services at Salisbury Green will follow.
WEST NEWBURY
A parade will begin at the Town Square at 10:30 a.m. and proceed to the training field. Services will follow at the G.A.R. Library.
