July 06, 2009 03:56 am NEWBURYPORT The following items were recorded in the log of the Newburyport police: Bruce Marshall, 62, 11 Ina Ave., Hampton, N.H., was arrested Friday at 9:32 p.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and leaving the scene of an accident with property damage. Officers Christopher McDonald, Edward Rice and Joshua Tierney made the arrest on Merrimac Street. Amanda Sweet, 38, 18 Edgemere St., Melrose, was arrested Saturday at 12:56 a.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol and operation of a motor vehicle without headlights. Sgt. Howard Adams made the arrest at the corner of Washington and Olive streets. Louis Ketchen, 22, 153 Merrimac St., Newburyport, was issued a summons Saturday at 1:26 a.m. on a charge of disturbing the peace. Officers MacDonald and Eric Marshall issued the summons on Merrimac Street. Yael Herrera McGuane, 25, 18 Woodman Way, Newburyport, was arrested Sunday at 1:23 a.m. and charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. Officer Dani Michaelek and Sgt. Adams made the arrest on Woodman Way. NEWBURY The following item was recorded in the log of the Newbury police: Donald Mackay, 43, 26 Shaol Creek Road, Hudson, N.H., was arrested Saturday at 4:04 p.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol (second offense), driving with a suspended license and possession of an open container of alcohol. Officers Joseph Anderson and Stephen May made the arrest on the Plum Island Turnpike. STATE POLICE The following items were recorded in the log of the state police, Newbury barracks: Ruben Desouza, 2150 Bobolink, Memphis, Tenn., was issued a summons Saturday on charges of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and a breakdown lane violation. Trooper Topping issued the summons in Georgetown. Pabio Batista, 6 Stevens Lane, Peabody, was issued a summons Saturday on a charge of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. Trooper Topping issued the summons in Georgetown. AMESBURY The following items were recorded in the log of the Amesbury police: Shawn Dennis, 43, 106 Whitehall Road, Amesbury, was arrested on Saturday at 10:09 p.m. on a warrant. Officers Steven Reed and Michael Purvis made the arrest at Carriage Hill Road. Dawn Marie Burkett, 31, 106 Friend St., Amesbury, was arrested Saturday at 11:23 p.m. and charged with breaking and entering into a boat/vehicle and attempting to commit a crime. Officers Kevin Mulrenin and David Noyes made the arrest on Friend Street. SALISBURY The following items were recorded in the log of the Salisbury police: Casey M. Conn, 27, 11 Railroad Ave., Salisbury, was issued a summons Saturday at 5:41 p.m. on a charge of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. Officers Timothy Hunter and James Leavitt issued the summons on Lafayette Road. Ralph J. Richards, 60, 85 Forest Road, Salisbury, was issued a summons Saturday at 8:12 p.m. on a charge of operating a motor vehicle with a revoked license. Officer Hunter issued the summons on Beach Road. Vincent D. Deleon, 41, 2914 S. Claremont Ave., Independence, Mo., was arrested Saturday at 8:43 p.m. and charged with domestic assault and battery. Officers Leavitt and Robert Roy made the arrest at 183 Northend Blvd. Sylvia L. Page, 32, 27 Bowen Place, Leominster, was issued a summons Saturday at 11:59 p.m. on a charge of assault and battery. Officers Leavitt, Craig Lesage and David Delling issued the summons at the Rusnik Campground. Eddie A. Pagan, 44, 10 Robbins Ave., Dracut, was issued a summons Sunday at 3:44 a.m. on a charge of assault and battery. Officers Leavitt, Lesage and Bruce Dow issued the summons in Salisbury Square. WEST NEWBURY The following item was recorded in the log of the West Newbury police: William W. Stevens, 27, 59 West River Road, Manchester, N.H., was issued a summons Saturday at 12:10 a.m. on charges of marked lanes violation and negligent operation of a motor vehicle following a motor vehicle accident. Officer Michael Dwyer issued the summons on Main Street.
