Magic, marine life and more at the library this summer
There area great programs planned at the Seabrook Public Library for kids of all ages this summer.
On Wednesday, July 22, at 3 p.m., a Children's Tide Pool experience will be offered at the Seacoast Science Center in Rye. Children can find out all about the microcosm of marine life in local tide pools and meet sea stars, crabs and urchins up close.
Included in this program is free parking at the Seacoast Science Center at Ordiorne Point, free admission to the center prior to the program, and the tide pool experience in small groups with a naturalist.
Prior registration is required to attend this program and can be accomplished by visiting or calling the library at 603-474-2044 and asking for Lisa.
On Monday, July 27, at 3:30 p.m., magician Debbie O'Carroll will present the "The Magic Library." In this play, O'Carroll, with the help of the audience, explores different kinds of children's literature. Together they compose a funny fairy tale, an intriguing biography, a baffling mystery and more.
O'Carroll has performed at schools, libraries and festivals all over the country. She also teaches workshops at many elementary and high schools in Massachusetts.
