BYFIELD — Pine Island Music will hold its second Summer Jam concert at the Newbury Town Library on Lunt Street tonight at 6. This live jam concert is the highlight of the week for teens and kids who have been creating and playing music in a Summer Jam session at the studio.
"This concert is in keeping with Pine Island Music's mission of giving kids an opportunity to express themselves creatively," says EJ Ouellette, music director. "Not only do we expect to hear great (things) from our initial featured musical acts, but we hope to inspire our young members to continue to create and share their musical talent as well."
Performers are Chris O'Keefe on guitar, John Gadbois, keyboard and vocals, from Amesbury; Matt Faulkner, guitar and vocals, from Rowley; Michael DiMambro, bass, from Georgetown; Eric Harrold, keyboard, from Byfield; JC West, guitar, from West Newbury; Harrison Games, drums, from Newburyport; Chris Robertson, guitar and vocals and Patrick Murphy, guitar, from Haverhill and Kody Selvo, guitar and vocals, from Ipswich.
The concert is free and open to the public.
Pine Island Music is a multi-faceted music school, recording studio and production company offering private lessons, group classes and jam workshops for kids and adults. Instruction includes guitar, bass, fiddle/violin, voice, drums, percussion, piano/keyboard, mandolin, banjo, dobro, ukulele, harmonica and more.
