Heard Around Town

Fishing season is pretty much over, but there's still plenty of fish around. That's been evident for the past few weeks to strollers along the Newburyport boardwalk. The Merrimack River has been loaded with small baitfish. This week was no exception: Seals and cormorants swam and plunged through the big schools of baitfish, while dozens of seagulls circled overhead.
