NEWBURYPORT — The Greater Newburyport Chamber of Commerce & Industry will host a discussion on the economy featuring a Boston-based economist as guest speaker at the Monthly Breakfast on Thursday.
The event will be held at the Phoenix Room from 7:30 to 9 a.m., and is being sponsored by the Provident Advisory Group.
Jeff Knight is a managing director, deputy head of Investments and chief investment officer of Putnam's Global Asset Allocation team. In this role, he oversees the team's institutional and individual portfolios and the asset allocation investment process for Putnam's multi-asset-class portfolios. He is also the portfolio leader of the Asset Allocation, Putnam RetirementReady Funds, and Putnam CollegeAdvantage, and is a portfolio member of The George Putnam Fund of Boston.
Knight joined Putnam in 1993 as vice president, senior quantitative analyst in the GAA Group. A founding member of the team, he was instrumental in the development and implementation of the group's quantitative models and methodologies.
A full breakfast will be served to all who attend; reservations are required. Admission is $20 for Chamber members, $25 for non-members and walk-ins.
