Santa Claus to pause in Byfield weekend

BYFIELD — Santa Claus will be roaming the streets of Byfield Saturday.

The annual Santa tour will begin at 9 a.m. Santa will visit each street in Byfield on a Protection Fire Company No. 1 engine and will be handing out candy canes and coloring books.

Here is the route that Santa plans to follow:

In the morning, he begins at 9 in Byfield Square, Main Street to Georgetown line; Chute Street; Knobb Hill; West/River Streets; Forest Street; Lunt Street; North Main Street; Grove Street; Oak Terrace; Moody Street; Spring Hill Road; Spring Hill Court; Moulton Street; South Street; Courtney Drive; remainder of North Main Street; Church Street; Downfall Road; Johnson Lane; Lenway Road; remainder of Church Street; Kent Way; Wayside Avenue; Fruit Street; Central Court; Parker River Drive.

In the afternoon, he'll start on Central Street; Larkin Road to Parish Road in Georgetown; Elm Street; Lower Central Street; Fatherland Drive; School Street; Birch Lane; Coleman Road; Longbrook Road; Greentree Lane; remainder of Elm Street; Middle Road through Governor's Academy; Orchard Street; Austin Lane; Pearson Drive; Great Meadow Road; remainder of Central Street; Courser Brook Drive.
