Though he has already made a record by being Jeopardy!'s fourth winningest champion, West Newbury's Dan Pawson will visit the game show again on Jan. 8 and 10.

After banking $170,902 in a nine-game winning streak last January, the legislative aide to state Sen. Bruce Tarr will battle 14 other recent Jeopardy! champions in a head-to-head contest for a quarter-million dollars.

Episodes will air March 11 through 24. The grand prize for the two-week tournament will be $250,000 cash, with a minimum guarantee of $100,000 for second place, and $50,000 for third place. The six players eliminated in semi-finals each pocket $10,000; players eliminated in the first round receive $5,000.

Pawson used his previous winnings to buy a Toyota Corolla, named Sly Fox, after something host Alex Trebek said to him during a show.

The 26-year-old, a University of Chicago law school graduate, has been watching the show for two decades and has only missed one show, the night his wife, Andrea Saenz, gave birth to their daughter, Rebecca.
