			<description><![CDATA[SALISBURY &mdash; Thieves struck the Hilton Senior Center this week, smashing in a door and taking expensive equipment used in the Council on Aging's programs.<br>
Salisbury Council on Aging director Liz Pettis said the break-in occurred sometime between 5:15 p.m. Tuesday afternoon when she locked up for the day, and 7:30 the next morning, when the custodian arrived and realized the Hilton Center had been robbed. Stolen was a 4-year-old, 47-inch flat-screen television and Wii entertainment system, along with video programs for the system. ]]></description>

Despite torrential rains, seven relatives of Daniel Mussilloway and their spouses came to the historic Hills House, 407 Main St., from Vermont, New Jersey and Maryland, bringing with them a patchwork quilt that's been in their family for many decades. Born in Ireland in 1645, Mussilloway was the first of his family in this country and one of the earliest settlers of Newbury. At that time, West Newbury was part of Newbury.]]></description>

Historical Commission chairwoman Linda Smiley said the hearing will begin at 8 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers. The proposal, for 84 -86 State St., calls for Stonehaven Realty Development to add a sixth floor to its five-story brick building, known as the Bracket Heel building. It would be topped with a 2,185-square-foot penthouse with a 1,356-square-foot deck. Architectural renderings show the penthouse having mostly glass walls with steel frame.]]></description>
