Triton's leadership failed the kids

To the Editor:

Triton athletics leadership should look in the mirror. Triton sports is in the paper daily for all the wrong reasons. After not standing behind and supporting former coaches Drew Wile and Kristen Almquist they get let go.

Next up, "Coach Mac," who is very well liked and respected by his all his students and athletes. Now Tim Connell hears he may be next. These people who you have let go have given it their best and are quality people. Who do think wants to coach out there when you will not stand behind them?

Triton leadership should let the student/athletes get their names in the paper for their achievements on the athletic fields instead of all the negative press. The kids are first, period. Think of the impact this is having on them. In a time when kids need to look up to someone in their lives, Triton leadership has failed. It's time for the mighty vikings to rise up and fight back.
