Three Pentucket athletes capture Red Auerbach titles

Poretta, Koolian, Tribble capture individual titles

Pentucket sophomore Alanna Poretta placed first in the 800 meters (2:21.6) at the Auerbach Freshman-Sophomore Invitational. Charlotte Koolian (javelin, 83-10) also won an individual event. On the boys side, Connor Tribble won the 400 (56.4).

In the girls meet, Victoria Castiglione (long jump, 13-9 1/2) placed third. Sarah Pearsall (shot put, 25-7; discus, 79-6) and Abby Stephenson (800, 2:41.0) finished fourth. Erin Troy (high jump, 4-6) and Carrie Broz (javelin, 66-8) placed fifth. Broz also finished sixth (64-8).

John Burton (triple jump, 34-10 3/4), Alex Baribeau (high hurdles, 18.5) and Pentucket's 4 x 100 relay team of Jorge Martinez, Nick D'Amore, Brendan Sullivan and Devrick Felder (51.4) placed third. D'Amore (triple jump, 34-6 3/4), Hunter Sawyer (2-mile, 12:20) and Pentucket's 4 x 400 team of Sawyer, Martinez, Baribeau and Tribble (4:13.0) placed fourth.

Tribble (triple jump, 34-5 1/2) and Burton (pole vault, 8-6) placed fifth. Baribeau (long jump, 15-8 1/4) and Cameron Doe (triple jump, 34-3 1/4) finished sixth.

Boys Lacrosse

North Andover 10, Triton 7

Caleb Woodworth tallied three goals and two assists for Triton. Chris LeSage added two goals. Tony Mirandi scored a goal. Paul Bishop, Will Joy, Craig White and Burt Comins had assists. Carson True made 14 saves.
