Triton 1, Wilmington 0, 14 innings

The Vikings (5-7 overall, 3-2 Cape Ann League) received timely hitting from Kerri Carleton, Caitlin Stevens, Lauren Sergeant, and Katie McCance. Marion Dulleau pitched all 14 innings, allowing eight hits and two walks. She recorded nine strikeouts.

"We were down some players due to sickness and injury, but the girls hung in there and played some solid defense," said Jim Hounam. "This was a big win for us."

Newburyport 5, Masconomet 2

Ashley Rowe earned the complete-game victory on the mound for the Clippers (4-6). She allowed eight hits and did not issue a walk. She struck out two. Lindsey Tomasz and Cassandra Davis had two RBIs each. Meg Cronan tripled. Chelsea Hersey executed a double play in the field.

"We made two errors," Newburyport coach Peter Murray said. "That's been the case the last three or four games. That's a huge help."

Baseball

Newburyport 6, Masconomet 5

Kyle LeBlanc had the game-winning RBI on a double in the bottom of the seventh, leading the Clippers (7-6, 5-2) over previously unbeaten Masco (10-1, 6-1).
