May 16, 2008 11:28 pm Softball Amesbury 8, Pentucket 7 In a matter of two innings, Gabby Magnifico and her Indians sparked two dramatic comebacks to beat River Rivals Pentucket. Down 6-2 in the bottom of the sixth, Magnifico hit a three-run homer as Amesbury tied the score. However, in the top of the seventh, the Sachems went back on top by a run. In the bottom half of the inning though, Abby Pare's RBI single right up the middle to score Laura Kaminski plated the Indians' winning run. Triton 14, Newburyport 7 Once again Newburyport helped out its opponents as the Clippers made 16 errors against Triton as Marrissa Strangie (4 for 6, home run, 6 RBIs) and Caitlin Stevens (4 for 6, home run, 3 RBIs) both had monster performances for the Vikings. The one highlight for Newburyport came in the fourth when Lindsey Tomasz, Christina Davis, and Rachel Webster all hit triples. For the Vikings, Kristina Spencer went 3 for 4 with three RBIs, and Lauren Sargent 3 for 4 with one RBI.
