Wall of Fame

The annual Newburyport Wall of Fame Golf Tournament will be held Aug. 7 at Ould Newbury Golf Club. The cost is $75 per player with four players per team. For more information please contact Roger Fuller at 978-465-8029 or jefuller61@comcast.net.

Softball

Soccer

The Triton youth soccer league is accepting fall registration for the travel and intramural teams. The registration period runs until Aug. 30 for intramural. There is a $25 late fee after these dates. To register go to www.tritonyouthsoccer.org.

Baseball

The 12th annual Sachems Baseball School, located in West Newbury, will have two sessions for boys and girls ages 6 to 12. The first session will run July 21-25 (9 a.m. to 2 p.m.). The second will run July 28 to Aug. 1 (9 a.m. to 2 p.m.) For more information, call camp director Tom L'Italien at 978-265-6128.

Golf

The fifth annual Clipper Cup Golf Tournament will be played Sept. 13 (8 a.m.) at Evergreen Golf Course. A $90 entry fee includes 18 holes with a cart, food, beverages and prizes. The Newburyport hockey program is looking for hole sponsors to make $100 raffle donations. All proceeds benefit the NHS hockey program. The inaugural Triton High Hockey Open will be played Aug. 4 (8 a.m.) at Apple High Golf Course in Kingston, NH. The fee is $100 per player and includes 18 holes, a golf cart and a barbecue. Contact Kevin Dodier at 978-270-3579 for more information. Cost is $100 to sponsor a hole and $50 to sponsor a half.

Ould Newbury's Tuesday morning Ladies League is now open to the public. The league, which runs until Oct. 7, welcomes all levels of play. First tee times are at 8:30 a.m. League fee is $40 for nonmembers, along with weekly greens fees. For more information, call 978-465-9888.

Sports Camps

Running

Join a panel of running experts for the science, art, psychology, and joy of running July 22 (6:30 to 8:30 p.m.) at the Fitness Factory in Newburyport. The seminar is free to runners of all ages and abilities. The panel will include Saucony's Todd Swenson, Gordon College coach Jack Molvar, Elite Lynx coach Mick Grant, Triton track star Keely Maguire, local legend Buddy Bostick, physical therapist John Wile, and dietetics and nutrition major Allison Herrick.

Summer cross country races will run on Thursday evenings (6 p.m.) until Aug. 14 at Maudslay State Park on the Travis Landreth Cross Country Course. The third River Rivals Summer Track Grand Prix Series, sponsored by Winner's Circle Running Club and Yankee Runner will include a meet at Triton High on July 22, Pentucket on Aug. 5, and Newburyport on Aug. 12. Sign-up on each night starts at 5 p.m. Events start at 5:45 p.m. The cost is $5 per night. Athletes ages 6 through open are welcome.

The Newburyport Lions Club is planning for the 49th annual Yankee Homecoming 10-Mile and 5K races to be held July 29.
