Field Hockey

Drop-in River Rivals Field Hockey registration for Amesbury, Newburyport, Pentucket and Triton students, grades 3 through 8, runs through Sept. 7 at Amesbury Skate and Sport. Participants in this six-week Sunday program (Sept. 14 through Oct. 26) learn skills and scrimmage under the direction of high school coaches and players. A $75 registration fee covers all equipment and a shirt.

The fifth annual Clipper Cup Golf Tournament will be played Sept. 13 (8 a.m.) at Evergreen Golf Course. A $90 entry fee includes 18 holes with a cart, food, beverages and prizes. The Newburyport hockey program is looking for hole sponsors to make $100 raffle donations. All proceeds benefit the NHS hockey program.
