Dirt the Skirt Softball is starting its third annual recreational, slow-pitch softball season for women 30 and older. All levels may join. Registrations may be done online at dtssports.com or in person at Groveland Town Hall on Feb. 19 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Fee is $75.

The East Coast Thunder girls fast-pitch organization is holding evaluations for the 2011 season. Booster Club

The Amesbury All Sports Booster Club will host a night of family fun at the Amesbury Sports Park Feb. 18 (6-9 p.m.). A percent of the proceeds will benefit the Booster Club and all of the athletic programs for AHS student athletes.

Rowing

Essex Rowing Club, Inc. is accepting registrations for its adult programs for the spring season. No experience is necessary, introductory programs are available for anyone interested in trying the sport. All fitness levels are welcome. Registration for the Newburyport Pioneer League's 2011 spring season is open. Registration for NYHL's 2011 Learn To Play Hockey Program (LTPHP) is open. The program consists of five 50-minute weekend sessions (2 Saturday sessions and 3 Sunday sessions) at the Graf Rink in Newburyport. The program serves to introduce hockey basics to children prior to registration for the NYHL's 2011-2012 season. Registration will take place on Sunday mornings for the month of February at the Graf Rink between 10 and 11 a.m. Additional information and LTPHP Registration Forms and are also available at www.NYHL.org. Triton Youth Hockey is accepting applications for the upcoming Learn to Play program, which is open to boys and girls from area towns ages 4 through 10. The program runs for five sessions on Saturday mornings at 8 a.m. at the Graf Rink in Newburyport. The sessions will run Feb. 26, March 19, 26, April 2 and 9.
