Hall/Wall of Fame

The Newburyport High School Wall Of Fame Committee is accepting nominations for the 2012 year. Those interested may send nominations to Newburyport High School, attention Pat McBride, before the June 1 deadline.

The Amesbury High Hall of Fame meeting will be April 24 (7 p.m.) at the Provident Bank Community Room on Market Street.

Golf

The 13th annual Clipper Classic will be at Apple Hill Golf Course in Kingston, N.H., July 13. Registration will begin at 7 a.m. with an 8 a.m. shotgun start. The cost of the tournament will be $125 per person. Included is a breakfast of coffee and doughnuts, 18 holes of golf with cart, longest drive, closest to the pin contests and putting contest, 50/50 hole, registration gift, various handouts and lunch at the Galley Hatch. The inaugural NHS Baseball Alumni Association Golf Tournament will be Aug. 12 (noon) at Apple Hill Golf Course in Kingston, N.H. The cost is $125 per player or $500 per foursome. Proceeds from this year's tournament will be used to support the annual scholarship and for enhancements to the baseball field. Gymnastics

Football/Cheer

Newburyport Youth Football and Cheerleading has opened registration for the fall season. Registration is available to those boys and girls entering grades 3-8 in the fall. Please register online at nbptyouthfootball.org. Registration will end June 1.

Field Hockey

Youth Field Hockey Skills and Drills Clinic will run on Tuesdays, June 26 to July 31 (4 to 6 p.m.) at Amesbury Sports Park. The clinic is open to all local students entering grades 3 to 9. The rate is $100 per player. An equipment pack will also be available for purchase at Amesbury Skate and Sport Shop.
