Governor’s Academy honors

Amesbury resident Brandon Lopez, a junior tailback for The Governor’s Academy football team, earned All-Independent School League. The other Govs All-League selections included senior running back Jesse Gwozdz, senior linebacker Bug Carper, senior offensive lineman Mark Hoffman, senior offensive lineman James Leary, junior offensive lineman Tyler Harrington and senior quarterback Tommy Vailas.

Indoor Track

Sachems add boys sport

Last week, Pentucket officially added boys indoor track as a varsity sport. It had been running a boys team as a club sport the last three years, competing on the JV level with up to 50 participants. It will now join the girls indoor track team as a varsity sport.

Cross-Country

Pentucket Regional High alumna Abbey D’Agostino placed first for Dartmouth at the NCAA Division 1 cross-country meet over the weekend.
