Soccer

Seacoast United Soccer Club has a Grassroots — Skills and Scrimmage program starting the week of Oct. 22. For more information and to register, visit www.seacoastunited.com/kingston/.

Baseball/Softball

The Newburyport Pioneer League Baseball/Softball registration for the 2013 season is underway through Nov. 5. The program is open to boys and girls from Newburyport between the ages of 6 and 15. The season runs from the middle of April to the end of June. Please visit www.thenewburyportpioneerleague.com for more information and to register.

Basketball

Triton Youth Basketball will have a coaches meeting Oct. 18 at 7 p.m. (site to be determined). The Triton varsity coaches will hold a free player and coaches clinic Oct. 21 at Triton High. Pentucket Youth Basketball will hold tryouts for girls travel basketball teams Oct. 14 at Pentucket Regional High. Fifth-grade tryouts will be 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.; sixth-grade tryouts will be 1 to 2:15 p.m.; sixth-grade tryouts will be 1 to 2:15 p.m.; seventh- and eighth-grade tryouts will be 2:30 to 3:45 p.m.

The Newburyport Girls Basketball Association is accepting registrations for the for the 2012-2013 basketball season for all girls in grades 5, 6, 7, and 8. Registration forms and league information can be found at http://freeteams.net/NGBA/. The NGBA is a non-profit organization that allows all girls the opportunity to play and learn the game of basketball. Registrations postmarked after Oct. 11 may be placed on a waiting list. The registration fee is $225. Team selections will be held Oct. 14 at Newburyport High School.

Amesbury Youth Rotary Basketball League for boys and girls in grades 2 through 8 in the Amesbury or South Hampton NH school districts has opened registration. Intown division games will be played on Saturdays from December through February with one practice during the week. Travel games will be played either Saturday or Sunday with two practices per week. Draft and tryouts for both will start the week of Oct. 15 for grades 5-8 only. All registrations must be in by Oct. 15. Visit www.ayrbl.org or email to psydlowski@ayrbl.org.
