The 23rd Annual Winner’s Circle Running Club Wild Turkey Trot 3.1 Mile Cross-Country Run/Walk will be run Nov. 22 at 8:30 a.m. at the Pipestave Hill/Mill Pond Recreation Area. Proceeds to benefit the West Newbury Historical Society and the charitable activities and youth and adult running programs of the Winner’s Circle Running Club. The Maudslay 5K Turkey Trot will take place at 8:20 a.m. on Nov. 22 at Newburyport’s Maudslay State Park. All race profits will go to the Newburyport Parks and other local charities. Please go to joppaflatsrunningclub.com for additional details or email mjfiene@msn.com.

The Howling Mile dog race will take place Oct. 27 at 10 a.m. at Newburyport’s Cashman Park. The dog will have the timing chip, and the dog owner will be running with the dog. The race will be one nautical mile along the rail trail. There will be prizes by weight class of the dog, and also prizes for the best costume. After the race there will be a dog carnival hosted by the Clipper City Canines organization. The inaugural Apple Dash 5K and One Miler will be Oct. 27 at Apple Crest Farm in Hampton Falls, NH. The start time for the One Miler is 10 a.m. A kids’ fun run (5 and under) will begin at 10:30 a.m. The 5K will start at 11 a.m. Register at www.heateventmanagement.com.

The fifth annual Cider Mash 5K will be Nov. 4 at Cider Hill Farm in Amesbury. The 5K will begin at 11 a.m., the One Miler will be at 10 a.m. and a children’s run will begin at 10:30 a.m. Register at www.heateventmanagement.com.
