Triton on its way to tourney berth

Triton 11, Rockport 6

Nick Desrosier earned the victory for Triton (7-5), logging six innings on the mound. He allowed four earned runs and struck out five. Justin Cashman pitched the seventh and recorded two strikeouts. Nate Estabrook had three hits, three runs and four RBI, along with a stolen base. Nick Cornoni had two hits, including a home run, three RBI and a run scored. Cote Wolcik had two hits, a run and two RBI. Dmitri Hunt had two hits, a run and an RBI.

Pentucket 11, Manchester Essex 5

Josh Creamer was 2 for 4 with two runs for Pentucket (4-6). Connor McGuirk was 2 for 5 with two RBI. Jake Bordieanu was 3 for 4 with a run and an RBI.

Boys Lacrosse

Newburyport 18, Lynnfield 7

Newburyport coach Ed Gaudiano credited Trevor Bradbury with playing well defensively. Alex Buckley, who is filling in for injured goalie Dillon Guthro, made six saves.
