Pentucket boys beat H-W on the track

Boys Track

Pentucket 94, Hamilton-Wenham 51

Ian Mitchell won three individual events for Pentucket (5-2) — the triple jump (39-10 1/4), high jump (5-7) and 400 (53.3). Tim Freiermuth won the javelin (147-1) and shot put (48-1 1/2). Cooper Carifio won the 100 (11.5) and long jump (19-1). Derek Swanson (discus, 100-1), Joe Lacrecque (vault, 9-6), Jake Baribeau (high hurdles, 15.9), Chris Croteau (200, 24.5), the 4x100 relay team of Croteau, Steven Hardy, Jack Richard and Carifio; and the 4x400 relay team of Franco Pizzarella, Alec Biese, Dan Thornton and Mitchell also placed first.

Girls Track

Hamilton-Wenham 91, Pentucket 54

Ali Attenasio won the vault (9-6) and high hurdles (16.5) for Pentucket (5-2). McKenna Kilian placed first in the 400 (1:00.2). The 4x400 relay team of Carolyn Modlish, Marissa Porter, Kilian and Paige Wesolowski also placed first (4:20.8).


Amesbury 12, Masconomet 0

The Indians improved to 11-1 Wednesday evening. Carolina Merrill earned the win, with six innings pitched. She allowed three hits and struck out six. Ashley Valme had three hits, including two doubles, and four RBI.

Boys Lacrosse

Masconomet 11, Georgetown 5

Nick DePasquale led the Royals with two goals. Alex Brannon, Scott Perry and Tim Quinn scored one goal each. Jared Warren had three assists. John Willis and Neil Murphy also had assists.
