YOUTH WRESTLING

This past Sunday, the River Rival Wrestlers had a number of strong performances at the Massachusetts K-4 State Tournament in Salem, with three competitors placing first in their weight category and another finishing second.

Trevor Kamuda, a third-grader from Groveland, finished in 1st in the 62 lbs category, while Tyler Knox, a fourth-grader from Groveland, took the top prize in at 70 lbs. Brandon Dagostino, a second-grader from Groveland, won 1st place at 75 lbs.

Ben Little, a third-grader from Merrimac, finished in 2nd place at 58 lbs, and fourth-graders Beau Colvin and Cole Slimak of West Newbury and Georgetown, respectively, finished fourth in their weight classes.

The wrestlers in grades 5-8 will compete in the North Sectional Tournament Sunday in Chelmsford.
