Pentucket 52 Newburyport 44 (OT)

It took more time to decide this one as Pentucket erased a late nine-point Clippers lead to send the game to overtime. There, they would pull away to a 52-44 win. Kelsi McNamara led the way for the Sachems on a monster 28-point scoring night. McKenna Kilian also had a strong night and had 14 points. Off the bench, Audrey Tipson’s nine rebounds were instrumental in securing the win for her team.

For Newburyport, Aly Leahy had a team-high 10 points while Lilly Donovan had nine.

Boys Basketball

Georgetown 67 Manchester-Essex 64

Georgetown improved its record to 15-5 with a great offensive performance by Patrick Bjork, Ryan Slack and Matt Gott. Bjork finished with 29 points, Slack with 17 and Gott with 12.

With the loss, Manchester-Essex falls to 14-4.
