The Ice Cats Youth Girls Hockey club is holding tryouts this week, and girls ages 8 to 14 are encouraged to try out. The program is open to people from all communities, and practices and games will be held weekly at local rinks around the area. Tryouts will be held at the Kasabuski Rink in Saugus on March 6 at 4:50 p.m. (for U14), 6 p.m. (for U10), 7:10 p.m. (for U12) and March 12 (for U10 again). The Newburyport Youth Hockey League will be holding tryouts for the 2014-15 season between March 11-13. Tryouts will be held for Mites from 6-7 p.m. on March 11-12; for Squirts from 7-8 p.m. on March 11-12; for PeeWees from 8-9 p.m. on March 11 and from 7-8 p.m. on March 13; and for Bantams from 8-9 p.m. on March 12-13. Seacoast United has a few open spots on its Boys U14 and Boys U15 Club Teams, and prospective players are welcome to try out for the team.
