Triton swimming falls in program opener


North Reading 87, Triton 72

Triton swimmers Jennifer Nutter, Caroline Cullen, Kiersten Flodman and Maggie Summit placed second and had sectional- and state-qualifying times in the 400 free relay (4:04.87) and sectional-qualifying times in the 200 medley relay (2:07.59). Junior Jennifer Nutter placed first in the 200 IM (2:22.50) qualifying for sectionals and states. Seventh-grader Maggie Summit placed third in the 200 free (2:05.79) with sectional- and state-qualifying times and third in the 100 fly (1:07.75) with a sectional-qualifying time.
