Pettigrew leads Newburyport to 3-0 record

Newburyport 62, Saugus 41

Emily Pettigrew led the way for the Clippers with 18 points, 9 rebounds, 3 assists and a block. The Clippers improve to 3-0 on the season with their sights now set on the Institution for Savings Tournament.

Aly Leahy had 11 points, 3 rebounds, 1 assist and 3 steals.

Mary Pettigrew added 9 points.

Boys Basketball

Saugus 62 Newburyport 48

Saugus made 11 3-pointers on their way to a 62-48 victory over the Clippers, despite Dillon Guthro’s double-double. Newburyport falls to 2-1 on the season. Dillon Guthro had 13 points and 12 rebounds. Daniel Baribeault added 15 points and 4 rebounds
