Triton 33, Georgetown/Ipswich 30

Ryan Archambault, head coach of Georgetown/Ipswich, fell to his former team of Triton High School yesterday in a close match. Strong efforts by several of Triton’s wrestlers, including captain Cody Nixon’s 6-3 win, propelled the Vikings to victory. Triton is now 3-2; Georgetown/Ipswich falls to 1-2.

Boys Basketball

Amesbury 64, Lynnfield 51

Amesbury wore down their opponent on Friday, beating Lynnfield on the road. Pat Halloran’s triple-double propelled Amesbury with one of the best statistical days seen thus far. Jack Fortin led the Indians in scoring.

Girls Basketball

Pentucket 38, Hamilton-Wenham 40

The Sachems fell in a nail-biter to the Generals in a close game from the get-go. Tied 25 at half, the only thing separating the two teams was two fourthquarter points earned by Hamilton-Wenham. The Sachems fall to 1-2 on the young season.
