Local Sports Briefs

Janet Cucurullo of Newburyport recently finished first at the Eastern Massachusetts Bridge Association’s (EMBA) Pro-Am at the Holiday Sectional in Watertown.

The next tournament will be held on Feb. 21 to Feb. 23 at the Armenian Cultural Center at 47 Nichols Ave., Watertown. Players from a wide range of levels will be competing.

Games last around three and a half hours. The tournament will begin Friday at 7:30 p.m. before following sessions take place on Saturday at 10 a.m. and Sunday at 10:30 a.m. The cost is $10 per session. For more information, visit www.acblemba.org.
