Georgetown/Ipswich 24, Masconomet 53
Constantine Galanis won by fall at 2:45 and Mike Gallanar won by fall at 2:21. Derek Chamberlain won by injury default for the Royals/Tigers and Josiah Krason won by forfeit.
Georgetown/Ipswich will head on the road to take on Waltham tomorrow. The meet is set for 5 p.m.
They are now 10-8-1 on the year.
Girls from the Triton Varsity swim team will compete at sectionals at Wellesley College tomorrow. Molly Beluk, Caroline Cullen, Kiersten Flodman and Kali Vetree will swim the 200 medley relay (qualifying time 2.06.3). Caroline Cullen, Jennifer Nutter, Nikki Samuelson and Maggie Summit will swim the 200 free relay (1.51.35) and the 400 free relay (4.04.87). Cullen will also swim the 500 free (5.51.37), Nutter the 200 IM (2.22.50) and the 100 back (1.06.01), Samuelson 200 IM (2.24.15) and 500 free (5.46.53), and Summit 200 IM (2.19.4) and 50 free (25.76).
Pentucket 36, Triton 27
A strong effort from a down Triton team fell short as Pentucket held on to beat the Vikings 36-27. McKenna Kilian led the way for the Sachems with 19 points, helping her team improve to 13-4.
Next up for the Sachems is a trip to North Reading tomorrow.
Pentucket 59, Triton 37
The Sachems beat Triton with a strong contribution from Jeff Porter, who had 13 points in the contest. Corey Parsons continued a strong shooting streak for Triton with 14 points in the loss.
Pentucket now sits at 7-9 and must win three of their final four games to qualify for the tournament.
With the loss, Triton falls to 4-12.
