Pentucket girls come back to beat N. Reading in triple overtime

Pentucket 60, North Reading 52 (3OT)

The Sachems picked up a huge win on Friday night, coming back from nine down with 2:50 remaining in regulation to beat the Hornets 60-52 in triple overtime. After tieing the game late to force overtime, Pentucket staved off defeat again at the end of the second overtime by hitting a game-tying 3-pointer with three seconds to go.

Pentucket outscored North Reading 15 to 7 in the third overtime period to clinch the win, and head coach John McNamara called the win a nice comeback after a slow first three quarters.

The leading scorers for Pentucket were Kelsi McNamara, who had 32 points, and McKenna Kilian, who had 16 points and 16 rebounds. Pentucket is now 14-4 on the year and will host Triton tonight at 6:30.
