The Salisbury Parks and Recreation Commission is holding its The Tortoise and Hare 10K Race on Saturday, April 19, at 11 a.m. at Lions Park in Salisbury. The race also features a Kids Fun Run, a Kids 1-mile race prior to the start of the race and a 3-Mile walk that will start as soon as the runners are jogging down the Ghost Trail. The post-race includes music, popcorn, kids games and a fun run for children. To register, go to active.com.

YWCA Triathlon

The YWCA/Tough Warrior Princesses 4th Annual Triathlon will be held on Sunday, March 23, and will include a 10-minute lap swim, a 25-minute indoor spin ride and a 1.5-mile run on the Newburyport rail trail. Registration is $45, and for more information contact Ilene Harnch-Grady at 978-465-9922, ext 13.

Flag Football

Spring registration for the 2014 Newburyport Youth Flag Football, a member of NFL Flag Football, has opened online registration. Register at www.syffl.com. Limited space is available for ages 5/6, 7/8, 9-11 and 12-15, and teams are coed. Games for ages 5-15 are all played in Newburyport beginning in April. Swimming

Basketball

The Triton Boys Basketball Clinic will run from July 14-17 from 9:30 to 1:30 at Triton Regional High School. Players will have an opportunity to experience the growing tradition of Triton Basketball and benefit from one-on-one interaction from the team’s players and staff. Enrollment is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Players can register at www.trsdathletics.net under Camps and Clinics.

Football

The 32nd Annual Northeast Quarterback/Receiver Football Clinic dates have been released. The clinic will run from July 11-13 and will be held at The Governor’s Academy in Byfield. The cost for the program is $470 to be a resident, $370 to be a day participant and $405 to be an Extended Day participant. Applications are now being accepted and can be received by calling 800-433-6060 or by emailing northeastfootballclinic@ussportcamps.com. Summer Programs

Football, girls lacrosse, tennis, soccer, basketball and outdoor adventure camps and clinics will be offered at Pingree School for a variety of ages this summer.
