Dube, Seward receive top honors in CAL

---- — On the heels of its best regular season in program history, the Triton golf team received Cape Ann League accolades yesterday.

Triton junior Jon Seward was named Cape Ann League Division 1 Player of the Year after tallying 67 points in the Cape Ann League Open yesterday at Far Corners. The honor capped a great week of golf for Seward.

On Tuesday, Seward earned the King Rat, for posting the top score in the River Rival Tournament. As a team, Triton claimed the River Rival Tournament championship for the seventh time in nine years and broke a record for single-season wins (17).

Triton coach Rich Dube was named Cape Ann League Division 1 Coach of the Year yesterday after guiding his team to a CAL Division 1 title.

Newburyport’s Brendan Crowther and Travis Koocher both earned All-CAL for placing in the top 10 in yesterday’s CAL Open. Pentucket’s Krystal Knight and Georgetown’s Kyle Nelson also earned All-CAL honors.

Newburyport’s Kyle Bushnell and Ben Ventura were named CAL All-Stars. Amesbury’s Paddy Flahardy, Kyle Patterson and Patrick Halloran earned the same honor.
