Newburyport's Traxler scores goal in final game

Boys Soccer

Newburyport 1, Triton 1

Newburyport senior Adam Traxler scored a goal in his final game, giving him 11 goals and nine assists on the season. John Spears had the assists. Newburyport coach Shawn Bleau credited his seniors — Traxler, Spears, Ian Campbell, Leighton Paradis, Shudee Wu, Parker Davis and Ryan Furlong — for playing hard through the final game. Newburyport finished 3-12-3. Triton (8-6-3) will learn its tournament fate on Wednesday.

Girls Soccer

Pentucket 3, North Reading 3

On Senior Day, the Sachems (2-12-3) scored one goal for each of their seniors — Gianna Rosenau, Audrey Moolic and Laura Greene. Rosenau, Moolic and junior McKenna Kilian scored goals. Junior Kassidy Kennefick made 11 saves in the first half, and freshman Ashley Riter added eight in the second half.

Field Hockey

Pentucket 1, Hamilton-Wenham 1

Meghan Bresnahan scored the goal for Pentucket (3-8-7). Colleen Mulholland had the assist. Emily Mikson made nine saves.
