Triton 14, Gloucester 9
The Triton girls lacrosse team won its first game of the season yesterday, beating Gloucester 14-9 in a solid, all-around team effort.
Megan Muldowney led the way with four goals and two assists, and Kaitlyn Muldowney and Nicole Sullivan each contributed four goals and one assist each. Lily Dow and Sarah Ganzenmuller both had a goal each, Jess Greeney had two assists, and Hannah Clark, Skyla Lewis and Erin Savage each tallied one assist.
“It was a great opening game, we played well as a team,” said Triton coach Stacey Beaulieu. “Gloucester fought, they were really scrappy. We let them get a little close, they were within three at one point, and then we pushed them back. I think this game could foreshadow how our team will perform physically and mentally going forward.”
