Nor’easters baseball will hold registration at Eiras Park in Rowley on April 6 and 13 from 5 to 6 p.m. Workouts and assessments will be on April 27, May 4, 11 and 18. All players will be placed on the Sr. Legion, Jr. Legion and Sr. Babe Ruth teams in the area. Eligible players are high school players born 1995 or after. Players must live in the Amesbury, Georgetown, Ipswich, Newburyport, Pentucket and Triton school districts. Any questions can be sent to post150baseball@gmail.com or call Mike Quinn at 978-490-0218.

NHS Baseball Alumni Golf Tournament

The third annual Newburyport High School Baseball Alumni Golf Tournament will be held on Friday, June 20, at 12:30 p.m. at Ould Newbury Golf Club. The tournament is open to all, and the entry fee is $100, though entrants can also secure a sponsor and play for $75. This year’s tournament is being played in memory of board member John Notargiacomo (NHS, ‘75), who passed away earlier this year. Applications should be submitted no later than June 14, and for more information, contact Kevin Doyle at kcjdoyle@aol.com.

NHS Boosters Fundraiser

Oregano Pizzeria and Ristorante has offered to donate a percentage of all proceeds from Wednesday, April 9, toward the Newburyport High School Boosters. Starting at 7 p.m., the Boosters will hold a live auction at the restaurant for a baseball signed by David Ortiz. If you can’t make it out for dinner that night, the proceeds from takeout will count too.

Running

The Salisbury Parks and Recreation Commission is holding its The Tortoise and Hare 10K Race on Saturday, April 19, at 11 a.m. at Lions Park in Salisbury. The race also features a Kids Fun Run, a Kids 1-mile race prior to the start of the race and a 3-Mile walk that will start as soon as the runners are jogging down the Ghost Trail. The post-race includes music, popcorn, kids games and a fun run for children. To register, go to active.com.

Wrestling

Rage Wrestling begins April 14. Sessions will be held on Monday and Wednesday from 5 to 6:30 p.m. (for 4th- to 7th-graders) and 6:30 to 8 p.m. (for 8th- to 12th-graders). The program’s goal is to educate and develop competitive wrestlers in grades 4-12. Club participants develop fundamentals of wrestling, good sportsmanship, honesty and respect for their coaches and fellow teammates. Wrestlers will receive team shorts and t-shirt, and families can register online at www.ragesports.net or call 978-225-8131.

Swimming

Basketball

The Newburyport Girls Basketball Summer Clinic run by Newburyport High School coach Gregg Dollas, high school basketball staff and players will be offered for students entering grades 2-9. The clinic will run from Monday, June 23, to Thursday, June 26, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Newburyport High School. For registration forms and more information, visit: http://freeteams.com/NGBA/.

The Triton Boys Basketball Clinic will run from July 14-17 from 9:30 to 1:30 at Triton Regional High School. Players will have an opportunity to experience the growing tradition of Triton basketball and benefit from one-on-one interaction from the team’s players and staff. Football

The 32nd Annual Northeast Quarterback/Receiver Football Clinic will run from July 11-13 and will be held at The Governor’s Academy in Byfield. The cost for the program is $470 to be a resident, $370 to be a day participant and $405 to be an extended day participant. Applications are now being accepted and can be received by calling 800-433-6060 or by emailing northeastfootballclinic@ussportcamps.com.
