Newburyport freshman Michaela Corvi came back from an early deficit to beat Amesbury freshman Abbie Sartori 6-7 (3), 6-4, 6-2 in their first singles match. Newburyport junior Grace Morgan went on to beat Amesbury senior Olivia King 4-6, 6-2, 6-1 in the second singles match, and then Amesbury junior Jill Hadwen beat Newburyport junior Eliza Filipanci 6-1, 6-2.

On the doubles side, the pair of Caroline Marino and Colleen Moore from Newburyport easily beat Amesbury’s Erika Landers and Meghan Chines 6-2, 6-2; in the second match, Amesbury’s Melina Mavroforos and Sebastiana Redford responded by beating Newburyport’s Annika Jahn and Claudia Curry 6-4, 6-0.
