Boys Track

Newburyport 68, Pentucket 68

The Newburyport and Pentucket boys track teams are all tied at 68 after Newburyport came from behind in the last event to win the 4x400 relay. The meet will be determined by the pole vault at a later date after the high winds forced the event to be postponed.

The winners for Newburyport included Alec Reduker in the high hurdles (17.3), 400 hurdles (66.1) and high jump (5-9); Chris Orlando in the 2-mile (10:30); Tom Graham in the 100-meter dash (11.0) and 400-meter run (51.8); Nick Carleo in the 1 mile (4:31); Gabe Ficht in the 800-meter run (2:06) and the 4x400 relay team (3:44.1)

The winners for Pentucket included Liam Corkery in the shot put (38-9 1/2) and javelin (130-8); David Greene in the long jump (19-8 3/4); Cooper Carifio in the triple jump (35-1) and 200-meter dash (23.9); Noah Malhi in the discus (103-7) and the 4x100 relay team of Chris Croteau, Steven Hardy, Jack Richard and Greene (47.1).

Girls Track

Pentucket 101, Newburyport 44

The Sachems whacked the Clippers 101-44 in yesterday’s meet. Winners for Pentucket included McKenna Kilian in the shot put (30-8 1/2), high jump (4-10) and 400-meter run (61.6); Ali Attenasio in the long jump (16-1), pole vault (9 feet) and high hurdles (17.1); Ayeshah Malhi in the discus (100-5); Sarah Steele in the javelin (88 feet); Emma Marchant in the 2 mile (11:54.9) and 800 (2:39.7); Kasey Mann in the mile (6:01.1); Maddie Nelson in the 200 (28.2); the 4x100 relay team of Attenasio, Hallie Milne, Nelson and Charlotte Merritt (52.8) and the 4x400 relay team of Ellison Seymour, Carolyn Modlish, Kilian and Paige Wesolowski (4:31.8).

The winners for Newburyport included Lily Eagan in the 400 hurdles (71.4) and triple jump (27-11) and Isabelle Soule in the 100 (12.8). Georgia Kacher, Kristen Mackie, Juliet Stevenson, Amanda Kenney, Erin Carroll, Alex Mackie, Rachel Haley and Liza Twomey all placed as well.

Boys Tennis

Triton 4, Newburyport 1

Second singles John DiDonato won 4-6, 6-4, 6-3. Andrew McGrath won 6-2, 6-0 at third singles. First doubles Nico Marcalini and Devon Shuman won 6-2, 6-3. Second doubles Eric Ninthala and Sam Ross won 6-1, 6-3. Chris Kirkpatrick for Newburyport 6-0, 6-1.

Manchester Essex 5, Pentucket 0

First singles Connor Aulson lost 6-3, 6-1. Second singles Jack Donahue lost 6-3, 4-6, 6-4. Third singles was Lucas Chory, 6-4, 6-0. First doubles, Adam Chory and Andrew Dickinson lost 6-3, 6-2. Second doubles Will Koepacwicz and Logan Sherwood lost 6-3, 6-1.
