Amesbury's inaugural Hall of Fame class

Nancy Klein

Class of ’77

A recipient of eight varsity letters, was named All-Scholastic in field hockey and softball and also played basketball.

Kristy Gleason

Class of ’89

A recipient of 10 varsity letters, earned All-America in softball and field hockey. All-time leading scorer in field hockey.

Pam Gleason Holt

Class of ’82

Was the all-time leading scorer in field hockey until her niece, Kristy Gleason, broke record. First girl in state history to play boys ice hockey.

Joe DesRoches

Class of ’83

A holder of 10 varsity letters, played football, basketball and ran track. Still holds school records on the track.

Chuck Tassinari (son of Tony Tassinari)

Coach

Tony Tassinari is the all-time winningest coach in AHS football history. Led his team to 30 wins in a row from 1949-1952.

Leo Dupere

Class of ’58

Amesbury’s all-time winningest coach in hockey, also coached baseball. Earned eight varsity letters as a player.

John Bertolini (son of Tino Bertolini)

Class of ’53

Tino Bertolini has his football jersey (33) retired, regarded as one of the best linemen in AHS history. Captain in football and baseball.

Larry Maron Jr.

Class of ’51

Was a three-sport star, scoring 138 points in his football career. Earned eight varsity letters of his own.

Jerry Mondalto

Class of ’72

Named All-America in football and baseball. Had his football jersey (22) retired. All-time winningest coach in baseball history.
