Seward aids Triton in win over Port


Triton 174, Newburyport 145

In a battle of the top two teams in the Cape Ann League, Triton (8-2) had its season-high score with six players tallying more than 25 points. Jon Seward (34 points), Mike Shea (30), Ryan Manning (29), Adam Chatterton (28), Brad Small (27) and Brett Greenberg (26) factored in Triton’s victory over Newburyport (4-2).

North Reading 163, Pentucket 113

Krystal Knight led Pentucket (2-5) with 29 points. Mitch Murray (24), Dan Beaton (16) and John Sirois (16) also played well.

Field Hockey

Pentucket 2, Amesbury 0

Carley Desjardins led Pentucket (1-2-4) with a goal and an assist. Tayla Racca added a goal for the Sachems. Erin Mixon had an assist.

Triton 5, Lynnfield 4

Emma McGonigle scored three goals for Triton (4-2-1). Emily Hirtle and Jackie Robert added a goal each. Triton scored the game-winning goal with one second left in the game.
