Amanda Martin scored the goal for Amesbury (4-3-1) on a penalty kick. Kelly DiFazio and Kelsey Bounodono played well.

Triton 4, Georgetown 2

Morgan Snow and Shannon Dube scored two goals each for Triton. Skyla Lewis, Maddie Williams and Cara Orlandi played well.

Pentucket 1, Manchester Essex 0

The Sachems (1-7-2) picked up their first win of the season. Brooke Chambers scored the goal on an assist from Madeline Ammon. Ashley Riter and Kassidy Kennefick combined on the shutout.

Girls Cross-Country

Pentucket 23, Amesbury 35

Emma Marchant (1st, 21:15), Sophie Capobianco (4th, 23:07), Sarah Thurlow (5th, 23:23), Ana Moura Cook (6th, 23:27) and Vivian Burke (7th, 23:43) led the way for Pentucket (5-2).

For Amesbury (3-4), Samantha Stone (2nd, 21:46), Hailee Gibadlo (3rd, 22:16), Emily Pugh (9th, 23:54), Caitlyn McGowan (10th, 24:03) and Lauren Gonthier (11th, 24:13) contributed.

Triton 20, Lynnfield 37

Liz Willmonton (2nd, 19:27), Maddie Quigley (3rd, 19:49), Ceili Riccio (4th, 20:10), Nikki Sullivan (5th, 21:11), Audrey Martin (6th, 21:24) and Sydney Rybicki (9th, 22:05) paced Triton.

Pentucket 2, Manchester Essex 0

Brendan Sullivan scored both goals for Pentucket (7-2-1). He now has seven goals and five assists on the season. Mike Salmonsen and Kyle Sedler had assists. Logan Sherwood and Cody Sedler combined on the shutout.


Newburyport 176, Georgetown 112

The Clippers (8-2) clinched a state-tournament berth with a record number of quota points. Travis Koocher (36 points), Ben Ventura (32), Kyle Bushnell (29), Austin Elmore (28), Brendan Crowther (27) and Bryce Cahill (24) each played a part in the record-setting performance.

Pentucket 158, Masconomet 134

John Sirois (28 points), Krystal Knight (24), Nick Murray (22), Dan Beaton (21) and Brandon Daniels (21) led the way for Pentucket (2-8).

Amesbury 137, Hamilton-Wenham 133

Amesbury’s Paddy Flahardy shot even par at Myopia Golf Course for 36 points. Brendan Foley (27) and Sam Burnham (25) also played well for Amesbury.
