Sophomore Brett Fontaine tallied 15 points, five rebounds and two assists for the Clippers (5-8). Junior Eric Meyer added 12 points and seven rebounds. Junior D.J. Grabowski added 10 points. Junior Zach Fenton had eight points and two rebounds.
"With three seniors out, we managed to come out with a nice hard-earned win due to our supporting cast of sophomores and juniors," Newburyport coach Tom L'Italien said.
North Andover 70, Georgetown 53
Mike Messman had 20 points for the Royals (8-5). Johnnie Spears added 10.
"We're playing the wood of our schedule with schools that have three times as many kids as us," Georgetown coach Mike Rowinsky said. "We're struggling right now."
Rockport 64, Triton 53
Daren Lewis had 19 points and five rebounds for the Vikings (4-8). Mike Foley had 11 points and six rebounds. Richard Fecteau had nine points.
Hamilton-Wenham 66, Pentucket 41
Corey McNamara led the Sachems (6-7) with 12 points.
Lynnfield 63, Amesbury 61
Tyler Lay tallied 21 points, 15 rebounds and five blocks for Amesbury. Stephen Deas had 14 points. Stephen Talbot added 13. Amesbury trailed 50-39 after three quarters.
"I am most happy about the fourth quarter comeback," Amesbury coach Thom Connors said. "Tyler Lay had the best night of his career. We had everything we needed to win."

Ipswich 56, Newburyport 45
Junior Sam Leahy had 15 points for the Clippers (7-8). Sophomore Beth Castantini added 11 points.
pentucket 62, hamilton-wenham 12
Paced by an all-around performance by Ashley Viselli (10 points, 7 assists, 6 rebounds, 5 steals, 1 block), Pentucket (15-0) outscored Hamilton-Wenham in the second quarter, 27-1. Erin McNamara led the Sachems in scoring with 11 points and Lauren Iola and Vanessa Cahill each had eight points.
