“A tough game, but we hung in there and I give the girls credit,” Pentucket coach Ruth Beaton said. “Olivia Duggan had an excellent game.”

Megan Cullen (2 goals, assist), Hannah Zannini (goal, assist), Emily Martin (goal) and Janine Fatal (assist) all recorded points for the Indians. Amesbury coach Cathy Berry noted the strong play of Amanda Martin at midfield and Kelly DiFazio on defense.

In a rematch of last year’s New England Class B final, Kendall Ham scored the game’s lone goal off an assist from Katie Barrand, helping boost the Govs record to 6-0-1 overall, and to 4-0-1 in the ISL.

The Sachems (6-1) fell for the first time this season against a talented Masconomet team. Running well for the Sachems were Alex Demeule (3rd; 15:52), Ian Mitchell (4th; 15:53), Drew Capener (10th; 16:31), Cooper Caritio (11th; 16:39), Devin McKee (12th; 16:40), Joe Lebrecque (14th; 16:42), and Jeremy Binding (20th; 17:29).
