Port earns tie against CAL's top team

Newburyport 0, Masconomet 0

Newburyport (12-2-3) was just the third team to play Masconomet (15-0-3) to a tie this season. Kendra Dow posted the shutout with four saves for the Clippers. Paige Hefferan, Lea Tomasz and Kate McCauley played well, according to Newburyport coach Lauren Hefferan.

Governor’s Academy 1, Nobles 0

Ashley Thon earned the shutout in net for the Govs (8-0-2 overall, 6-0-1 ISL). Hayley Newhall scored the goal on an assist from Siobhan McDonough.

Boys Soccer

Georgetown 5, Amesbury 0

Andrew Nowak had a goal and an assist for Georgetown (7-5-4). Kevin Morrissey, Justin MacRae, Zachary Graham and Jared Warren also added goals. Ben Noelk and Ben Denoncour had assists.
