Pentucket’s 4x400 relay team of Marisa Lundy, Tori Spofford, Kristin Fitzgerald and Paige Wesolowski clinched a victory over Newburyport by placing first (4:37.27) in the meet’s final event. Brenna Logan (high jump, 4-6), Brianna Repke (1,000, 3:41.92) and Marisa Porter (mile, 5:50.87) posted individual victories for Pentucket (3-2) in the Newburyport meet. Wesolowski won the 600 meters (1:55.02) against Ipswich.

“This was an exciting meet that came down to the last event against a well-coached Newburyport team,” Pentucket coach Steve Derro said. “Every year we have close meets with them; this year we were fortunate enough to come out on top. We were both fighting illness and injuries, but both teams fought extremely hard through that adversity.”
