Crunch Time

Bosh replaces Rondo

Miami Heat head coach Eric Spoelstra elected to choose one of his own to replace the injured Rajon Rondo in the Eastern Conference All Star team’s starting lineup.

Heat power forward Chris Bosh will take Rondo’s spot on the team, and he will start along side Heat teammates LeBron James and Dwyane Wade along with Knicks forward Carmello Anthony and Celtics forward Kevin Garnett.

Spoelstra elected to take Bosh, a forward, over guard Kyrie Irving, the popular choice to take Rondo’s spot. The East All Stars will now sport four forwards in the starting lineup, although LeBron will probably handle the ball.

Braun linked to Biogenesis

Ryan Braun, the 2012 National League MVP who tested positive for steroids after that season and successfully appealed his suspension, had his name pop up in the records of South Florida clinic Biogenesis.

The former NL MVP appeared on a list created by clinic head Anthony Bosch along with Alex Rodriguez and Melky Cabrera for “money owed for performance enhancing drugs” according to a report.
