Pentucket keeps tourney hopes alive

Pentucket kept its tourney hopes alive at the Newburyport Bank Classic, winning a 7-6 barn-burner against the Shawsheen Rams.

“We’ve got to win the next two to get in,” said Sachems coach Bill Burns, whose squad must win one and at least tie one against North Reading and Bishop-Fenwick later this week to make the tournament. “These kids have worked all year to put themselves in the position to make the tournament and they have to do it two more times now.”
