The Amesbury High hockey program will retire No. 13, the number worn by legendary player and coach Leo Dupere, in a ceremony at the Sylvan Street Grille in Salisbury on Nov. 13. The program will run from 6 to 9 p.m., and it will include a buffet dinner. Tickets are $35 and are available at Amesbury Skate and Sport. Fecteau’s final round

UMass Lowell senior golfer Andrew Fecteau, a Triton Regional High alumnus, fired a two-over-par 74 Monday to lead the River Hawks to a 12th-place finish at the 79th annual New England Intercollegiate Golf Assocation (NEIGA) Championship at The Captains Golf Course. Fecteau’s round of 74 came on the heels of a 77 Sunday. His total score of 151 ranked in a tie for 14th out of 184 individuals. UMass Lowell, the defending champion, compiled a team score of 636, shooting a 312 Sunday followed by 324 Monday. Central Connecticut State captured the team title with a 597 (288 Sunday, 309 Monday) and edged the University of Rhode Island (297-303 — 600) by three strokes.

CAL field hockey honors

Cape Ann League field hockey coaches had their league meeting Monday evening. They named Coaches of the Year, Players of the Year, and selected All-League and All-Star teams.

The CAL Kinney Division Coach of the Year was Triton’s Donna Andersen. Masconomet’s Belle Ives was named CAL Kinney Player of the Year. The CAL Baker Division Coach of the Year was Ipswich’s Sarah Merullo. Lynnfield’s Bailey Fanikos was named CAL Baker Division Player of the Year.

Newburyport’s Cahalane, Pettigrew earn All-CAL

Newburyport junior midfielder Marie Cahalane and senior back Mary Pettigrew earned All-CAL honors, while teammate Meghan Stanton was named a CAL All-Star.

Schell receives Amesbury’s top honor

For Amesbury, senior midfielder Amanda Schell earned All-CAL honors, while senior forward Maddie Severance and senior back Kristen Sydlowski were voted CAL All-Stars.

Hirtle named All-CAL for Triton

Triton senior midfielder Emily Hirtle earned the All-CAL distinction, while senior backs Kerstin Darsney and Courtney Brown were named CAL All-Stars.

Brackbill named All-Star for Pentucket

Pentucket senior midfielder Liza Brackbill was named a CAL All-Star, earning the lone honor for the Sachems.

Georgetown’s Mueskes, Lacasse named All-Stars

Georgetown senior forward Emily Mueskes and senior midfielder Nicole Lacasse were CAL All-Star selections.
